It's been written that the estate bubble was helped with inflated property ratings.

The bill has not been without its critics though. Some in the business have cried that a licensing program will not eliminate crime and will only increase the costs associated with property appraisals. There are discussions on either side of this issue.

If you're taking a loan to finance the acquisition of residential property, probabilities are your bank will need an official rating of the property you are trying to buy, and this rating will need to be conducted by a licensed professional.
